Privacy policy

What we store

• Clip text you choose to save, its code, creation time and expiry time.
• Server logs containing IP address, user agent, requested path and timestamp, kept for a short period to detect abuse and diagnose problems. Logs never contain clip text.

What we don't do

• No accounts, so no names, emails or passwords.
• No advertising, no analytics scripts, no third-party cookies, no fingerprinting.
• No selling or sharing of data. Clips are not read by people except when required to investigate abuse reports.

Retention and deletion

Clips are served only until the expiry you selected (10 minutes to 7 days) and are then permanently deleted by an automatic retention policy. Burn-after-read clips are deleted the first time they are opened. You can also delete a clip early with the Delete now button shown right after you save it, or through the API with the delete key you received when creating it.

Where data lives

Clips and logs are stored on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure and protected in transit with HTTPS. We rely on Google Cloud's physical and technical safeguards for storage.

Your responsibilities

Anyone who knows a clip's code can read it. Don't store long-term secrets, personal data about other people, or anything you wouldn't want seen if the code leaked.
